Terms and Conditions of Use

1. General
By placing an order with ELBARDY FOR PAPYRUS PAPERS ("ELBARDY", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms and conditions in full. ELBARDY is a manufacturer and direct seller of authentic Egyptian papyrus paper products based in Al-Qaramous, Bani Swef, Egypt.
2. Order Information
- Accurate shipping information (full name, physical address, and phone number) is required to complete your order. • We cannot deliver to PO Boxes for customers in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. A physical street address is required.
- ELBARDY is not responsible for undelivered or returned orders due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the buyer.
- All personal information is kept strictly confidential and is never shared with third parties.
- We do not offer free samples under any circumstances. If you require samples before placing a bulk order, please contact us at info@elbardy.com to arrange a paid sample order.
3. Customs, Import Duties & Tariffs
IMPORTANT — Please read carefully before ordering.
Our products are manufactured and shipped from Egypt. International shipments may be subject to customs inspection, import duties, taxes, and tariffs imposed by the destination country. These charges are entirely the buyer's responsibility.
United States:
As of 2025, the United States has imposed additional tariffs on goods imported from various countries under executive trade orders. Egyptian papyrus paper products may be subject to US import duties and/or additional tariff rates depending on the applicable Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code at the time of import. ELBARDY declares all shipments accurately on customs documentation. The buyer is solely responsible for any US customs duties, tariff surcharges, and associated fees. ELBARDY does not collect US import taxes at checkout and cannot predict the exact duty rate that will apply to your order.
European Union:
EU imports from Egypt may be subject to VAT and customs duties depending on the order value. Orders above €150 are subject to EU customs processing. The buyer is responsible for all applicable EU import VAT and duties.
United Kingdom:
UK customs applies import VAT (currently 20%) and duties on goods from Egypt above £135 in value. The buyer is responsible for all UK customs charges.
Canada:
Canadian customs may apply duties and GST/HST on imported goods. The buyer is responsible for all applicable Canadian import charges.
Australia:
Goods and Services Tax (GST) may apply to imports above AUD $1,000. The buyer is responsible for all applicable Australian customs charges.
All Other Countries:
Import duties, taxes, and customs fees vary by country. The buyer is responsible for researching and paying all applicable import charges in their destination country. ELBARDY is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing in any country.
Refused Customs Clearance:
If a shipment is refused by customs or returned to ELBARDY due to the buyer's failure to pay import duties or provide required documentation, ELBARDY will not refund the original order. Any costs of return shipping are the buyer's responsibility.
4. Shipping & Delivery
We ship via UPS and ARAMEX. Orders are typically dispatched within 1–2 working days of payment confirmation.
- Estimated delivery times: USA 5–10 days · EU 5–8 days · UK 5–8 days · Australia 7–14 days · Rest of world 7–21 days.
- Delivery times are estimates only. ELBARDY is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing, carrier issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order weight.
- Risk of loss and title for all products pass to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier.
5. Payment
- We accept PayPal, credit card, and debit card for all orders.
- Wholesale orders may be settled by bank transfer. Contact us for bank details.
- All prices are displayed in USD. Currency conversion fees (if any) are the buyer's responsibility.
- Payment is processed securely. ELBARDY does not store credit card information.
6. Returns & Refunds
We accept returns on below conditions

We stand behind the quality of our products. If you are not satisfied:
• Contact us within 3 days of delivery at info@elbardy.com with your order number and photos of the issue.
• Items must be returned within 7 days of delivery in their original condition and packaging.
• The following cannot be returned: items that have been used, written on, painted on, cut, or damaged by the buyer; custom or made-to-order items; wholesale orders above 50 sheets.
• Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
• Import duties or customs charges paid by the buyer on the original shipment are non-refundable.
• If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us immediately with photographic evidence. We will replace or refund damaged items at no cost to the buyer.
7. Intellectual Property
All images, text, and content on elbardy.com are the intellectual property of ELBARDY FOR PAPYRUS PAPERS and are protected by copyright. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.
8. Limitation of Liability
ELBARDY's total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the value of the order placed. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. For international buyers, any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to arbitration under internationally recognized arbitration rules.
